  Relative density: polypropylene is the relatively small density of all synthetic fibers, about 0.91g/cm3, so it is extremely light in weight, and the area covered by the unit weight of the fiber is large.

  Strength: The strength of polypropylene is similar to that of high-strength varieties of polyester and nylon in synthetic fibers, but the strength hardly changes in the wet state, which is better than nylon.

  Wear resistance and corrosion resistance: the flat wear resistance of polypropylene is second only to that of nylon, but the wear resistance is slightly worse. Corrosion resistance: It has significant stability to inorganic acid and alkali.

  Hygroscopicity and dyeability: polypropylene is almost non-hygroscopicity, its moisture regain rate is less than 0.03%, the shrinkage rate of fabric is small, and fine denier polypropylene has a strong core absorption effect. Dyeing fastness is poor, ordinary fuel can not make it dyeing.

  Electrical insulation and heat preservation: polypropylene has a high electrical resistivity (7× 10ω.cm) and a small thermal conductivity. Compared with other chemical fibers, polypropylene has good electrical insulation and heat preservation, but it is easy to generate static electricity during processing.


  Heat resistance and aging resistance: the melting point of polypropylene is low (165~173 ° C), and the stability of light and heat is poor, so the heat resistance and aging resistance of polypropylene are poor and not resistant to ironing. However, the anti-aging properties can be improved by adding anti-aging agents during spinning.

  In addition, polypropylene, like other synthetic fibers, is not easy to mold, rot, not afraid of insects.
