How is hygroscopic and dyeing property of polypropylene short fiber?

Hygroscopic and dyeing properties of polypropylene staple fiber: light weight and good heat preservation; Almost not hygroscopic, but the core absorption ability is strong, hygroscopic and perspiratory effect is obvious; The hygroscopic property of polypropylene is very small, almost no hygroscopic, general atmospheric conditions under the moisture return rate is close to zero. But it has core absorption, can transfer water vapor through the capillary tubes in the fabric, but does not have any absorption effect itself. The dyeing property of polypropylene is poor, the chromatographic is not complete, but the method of stock solution coloring can be used to make up for the deficiency.

Polypropylene staple fiber is mainly used in the production of carpet (including carpet bottom cloth and suede), decorative cloth, furniture cloth, various ropes, strips, fishing nets, linoleum, building reinforcement materials, packaging materials and industrial cloth, such as press cloth, bag cloth, etc. In addition, polypropylene staple fiber is increasingly widely used in clothing. It can be blended with a variety of fibers to make different types of blended fabric. After knitting, it can be made into shirts, outerwear, sportswear, socks, etc. Made of polypropylene hollow fiber, light weight, warm, good elasticity.

Polypropylene staple fiber in the macromolecular structure does not contain chemical groups can be combined with dyes, so dyeing is difficult. Usually, melt coloring method is used to mix pigment preparation and polypropylene polymer uniformly in screw extruder. After melt spinning, colored fibers with high color fastness are obtained. Another method is to copolymerize or graft copolymerize with acrylic acid, acrylonitrile, vinylpyridine, so that the polymer macromolecules can be combined with the polar groups, and then directly dyeing with conventional methods. In the process of polypropylene production, various additives are often added to improve the dyeing, light resistance and fire resistance.

Polypropylene staple fiber civil use: It can be spun purely or mixed with wool, cotton or viscose fiber to make a variety of clothing materials. It can be used to weave various kinds of knitwear such as knitted socks, gloves, knitwear, knitted pants, dishcloth, mosquito net cloth, quilt, thermal filler, diaper wet and so on.

Industrial application of polypropylene staple fiber: carpet, fishing net, canvas, hose, concrete reinforcement material, industrial fabric, nonwoven fabric, etc. Such as carpet, industrial press cloth, ropes, fishing nets, building reinforcement materials, oil blanket and decorative cloth. In addition, polypropylene membrane fibers can be used as packaging materials
