What kinds of flame retardant staple fibers are included?

Flame-retardant staple fibers mainly include intrinsic flame-retardant staple fibers and modified flame-retardant staple fibers.

Essential  flame-retardant staple fibers mainly include inorganic fibers and organic high-performance fibers. Among them, inorganic fibers include basalt fibers, glass fibers, quartz fibers, boron fibers, ceramic fibers, etc.; organic high-performance fibers include aramid, polyimide, and polyimide fibers. Phenyl sulfide fiber, aramid and polytetrafluoroethylene fiber, etc.

Modified flame-retardant staple fibers mainly refer to fibers with good flame-retardant properties obtained through physical or chemical modification, such as flame-retardant polyester, nylon, vinylon and cellulose fibers. The main preparation methods include copolymer chip spinning Method, blending spinning method, composite spinning method and coating method, etc.

Due to its unique properties, flame-retardant staple fiber has broad application prospects in civil, military and industrial applications. It can not only be used in flame-retardant textiles for automobiles, trains, and airplanes, but also in aerospace flame-retardant composites. Materials, decorative textiles in hotels, restaurants and other public places, hospitals, military, forest fire-fighting protective clothing and home textile products, etc.

Characteristics of flame-retardant staple fiber:

1. Good safety. The fiber does not melt when exposed to fire, and low smoke does not release toxic gas.

2. Permanent flame retardant effect. Washing and friction will not affect the flame retardant performance.

3. Environmental protection. With natural cellulose fiber as the carrier, the waste can be degraded naturally, which meets the requirements of environmental protection.

4. Excellent permanent flame retardant and fireproof performance. Flame retardant short fibers have good performance in preventing flame spread, smoke release, resistance to melting, and durability.

5. Good heat insulation and anti-static performance. Provide full thermal protection.

6. The flame-retardant staple fiber has the characteristics of natural fiber. The fabric has the moisture absorption and release properties of natural fibers, and the fabric has the characteristics of soft hand feeling, comfort, breathability, and bright dyeing.
